Proven techniques for managing time during high-pressure admission tests. How to allocate time per question and when to move on.

60 minutes for 100 questions means you have 36 seconds per question.

The 3-Pass Technique

1. Pass 1 (0-25 mins): Go through all 100 questions. Answer the instant-recall ones (GK, Biology, basic English). Skip anything that requires calculation or deep thought.
2. Pass 2 (25-45 mins): Go back to the skipped questions. Tackle the ones you know how to solve but need a little time (Math, Physics).
3. Pass 3 (45-60 mins): Attempt the hardest questions. Use elimination strategies.

The 'Ego' Trap

Don't let your ego get stuck on a difficult question. If a math problem takes more than 1 minute, skip it. Every question carries the same 1 mark. Don't sacrifice 3 easy marks for 1 hard one.

How to use this guide

AdmissionTestBD articles are written as practical decision notes for Bangladesh applicants. Read the summary first, then use the verification checklist below before spending money on an application, coaching course, hostel plan, or private university admission form.

  • Use this guide as a planning note, then verify final marks, deadlines, eligibility, and seat counts from official circulars.
  • Turn each section into a checklist for your own preparation routine instead of memorizing the article passively.
  • Revisit the page after new circulars publish, because Bangladesh admission rules can shift between sessions.

Correction and update policy

If a circular, fee, eligibility rule, or official link changes after publication, send the page URL and the updated official source to contact@admissiontestbd.com. We prioritize corrections that affect application decisions, exam preparation, fees, or student safety.
